Jikiden Reiki
Jikiden Reiki is the traditional form of Reiki handed down by the first Reiki teachers in Japan (Jikiden means direct transmission).
All of the techniques and energetic processes are exactly as they were when Reiki was first practiced and taught.
Like most things in Japanese culture, Jikiden Reiki is beautifully simple, pure, practical, and grounded, with an underlying hint of the mystical.
Physical treatment techniques treat everything from minor household injuries such as cuts and burns, to more severe acute and chronic conditions.
The psychological treatment works for both emotional/mental issues (such as anxiety and depression), and unwanted or unhealthy habits (such as smoking).
In addition, Jikiden Reiki techniques can be used for self-treatment, as well as for distant healing.
Jikiden Reiki Practitioner level classes are:
| SHODEN | Practitioner Level I - physical healing techniques, key concepts, Reiki history, practice (3 days) |
| OKUDEN | Practitioner Level II – psychological and ‘bad habits’ healing, distant healing, practice (2 days) |
On completion of their course, students are registered as Practitioners with the Jikiden Reiki Institute of Japan and receive an English certificate.
A beautiful calligraphy on rice paper Japanese certificate is forwarded to students by the Institute once their registration is processed.
No previous Reiki training is necessary to attend a Jikiden Reiki class.
All students start with Shoden or Level I, regardless of previous Reiki training.
Teacher level training may only be given by a few of the most experienced Institute Teachers.
